Radio

March, 2026

Radio Khabar Khush is the first Afghan Christian online radio broadcasting 24/7 in Dari, Pashto, and Hazaragi for the Afghan Christian diaspora. Since launching the radio on 31 January 2026, the media team has produced three hours of original content per day, six days per week, with weekly replays on Fridays.

The radio offers a diverse range of programs, beginning with the Nicene Creed, a Bible passage, and a worship song, followed by readings from Proverbs and Afghan cultural segments. In March, the entire book of Genesis and Exodus 1-8 were broadcast in Dari. In the Pashto section, the Gospel of Matthew up to chapter 15 was also broadcast.  Additional content includes teachings on biblical prophecies about Jesus Christ, alternating broadcasts of the Psalms, and cultural and theological programs in the Hazaragi language. The Bible is also aired in Pashto along with worship songs, and a trusted Christian book is recorded and shared. Children’s programs based on children’s Bibles and Christian resources are included, along with a family-focused program. Other features range from the reading of a novel to an engaging informational segment, concluding with a program introducing Afghanistan and its culture. Throughout the month, Afghan and Iranian folk music is played alongside worship songs.

Launching the online radio was not without hurdles. Coordinating broadcasts proved challenging, and some team members faced equipment problems or were unable to record on schedule, requiring last‑minute program replacements. Working among refugees also created setbacks, as two key follow‑up team members encountered serious situations in the Middle East and had to pause their involvement, reducing our follow‑up capacity. On top of this, the app was not approved by the Apple App store on schedule, leading to significant extra work to fix issues and prepare it properly for the radio.  However, in March, the radio app was approved by Apple, which will make access to the radio easier for listeners.

There has been an encouraging number of downloads and listeners so far, as well as follow up interactions in response to questions and comments. We have faith that God will use this ministry for his glory.

Isaiah 55:11 So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Women’s Ministry

February, 2026

Our women’s ministry provides a supportive environment where Afghan women can pray, learn, and grow in faith together. It’s a space to heal, be encouraged, and discover their God-given value and purpose through fellowship, teaching, and intercession.

Sixty seven women have attended the women’s Bible study over the last few months, with an average of sixteen women attending each week from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan and Turkey. In the last month, three women have made a profession of faith in Christ and eight believers have been baptized.

Since the start of 2026, the women’s ministry Bible study has focused on 1 and 2 Peter, exploring the following topics:

  • Living for God: love, service, and suffering for Christ
  • Humility: shepherding God’s people and standing firm in God’s grace
  • Authority of Scripture: growing in faith, God’s promises, and the inerrancy of scripture
  • False teachers: warning against deception and God’s judgment

Twenty women are attending Phase 3 of our Leadership Program which is a 13 week course exploring the New Testament. We are encouraged by their commitment to studying theology and their desire to grow spiritually in order to strengthen their faith; encourage other believers; and evangelise the lost with boldness, despite the many risks involved.

“After both of her parents were killed by the Mujahideen, MJ was raised by relatives, went through forced marriage at a young age, and endured poverty and emotional suffering. After years of struggle and spiritual searching, both she and her husband encountered Christian missionaries. Through them, they came to faith in Jesus Christ, were baptized, and began a new life. Even after conversion, they faced persecution, displacement, and political instability. They fled to several countries, now settling in Iran. Despite illness, fear, and loss, MJ testifies that her life found peace, hope, and purpose in Jesus Christ whose miracles and love sustained her through all suffering and gave her a new spiritual family.”

Ministry Coordinators

January, 2026

Central Asia Network has ministry coordinators in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Turkey. Through their ministry, Afghan Christians, facing severe persecution and isolation, will gain essential spiritual support and guidance.

Afghanistan

The Ministry Coordinator in Afghanistan is in contact with 77 believers. Recent online Bible studies have focused on building a personal relationship with Jesus, listening to God’s voice, prayer in daily life and learning to rely on God’s strength. In person meetings are only possible one-to-one with personal visits to individuals and families. Prayer and fellowship offers hope, peace and encouragement for the believers there. The coordinator was able to share the Gospel with 17 people in person this month.

Pakistan

The Ministry Coordinator in Pakistan is in contact with 91 believers. The focus of Bible studies has been the teachings of Jesus Christ regarding love, serving others, and obedience to God’s will. In the discipleship groups, topics such as perseverance in faith during difficult circumstances, the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, and the importance of living out the Gospel in practical ways were discussed and examined. Short-term training sessions were held for individuals who showed readiness to take on responsibility focusing on topics such as servant leadership, decision-making according to the Word of God, teamwork within the church, and Christian accountability.

Tajikistan

The Ministry Coordinator in Pakistan is in contact with 41 believers. Online Bible Studies focused on Job, encouraging faith and patience in hardship, and they also studied Galatians, exploring freedom and grace in Christ. The coordinator met with individual families and spoke about Jesus’ love, encouraging and praying with them .

Turkey

The Ministry Coordinator in Turkey is in contact with 25 believers. He coaches a football team of refugees and this has given him the opportunity to share the Gospel and pray with them as well as leading weekly Bible studies, looking closely at Songs of Solomon and particularly the theme of wisdom. The coordinator shares talks and debates with Muslims and atheists online which has been a helpful tool to teach those with leadership potential, in his community, Apologetics skills.

After coming to faith, I began attending Bible meetings. Together with brothers and sisters in Christ, we prayed, read God’s Word, and encouraged one another. In that community, I experienced a peace that I had been deprived of for years. Gradually, I learned to surrender everything to God in prayer instead of worrying.

Leadership Training

October, 2025

Phase Two of the Leadership Training Program, which started in September, has brought together 50 participants over several gatherings.

The primary focus of this training is to introduce the Old Testament and demonstrate its deep  connection with the New Testament. The first month of sessions has been a detailed overview of the Pentateuch.

A key element  of this course is to show a direct connection between Old Testament events and figures with the person of Jesus Christ.

The sessions also include interactive times of questions and answers, where participants have raised important topics such as creation, sin and its consequences, the image of God in humanity, death,  and resurrection. These discussions provide deeper clarity and strengthen the participants’  understanding of Scripture.

In addition, the students are assigned homework which involves summarizing lessons and  reflecting on connections between Old Testament passages and the New Testament. These  assignments helped participants to engage with the material more personally and to deepen their learning experience.

Key Impacts of this course:

  1. Stronger Leadership for 50 Participants: The second phase of the program will provide training for more leaders, equipping them to guide their communities through excellent understanding of the Bible.
  2. Sustained Growth: The recorded training sessions and additional resources will ensure continued leadership development, enabling future leaders to benefit long after the initial program ends.
  3. Increased Outreach: By expanding the reach of the program, the Afghan Church Network aims to reconnect with those who have been displaced or are in hiding, fostering new house churches across neighboring countries and regions.

Course Leader:

“I am thrilled that in this course we can together see, in the Old Testament books, the glory of the Creator who redeems sinners by his own provision. Grace and mercy flood the story of the Old Testament, from Creation to Fall to Redemption to New Creation.”
